A discussion of usless info I find laying around.

Old news maybe but which of the following quotes from Lt. Gen. James Mattis do you remember reading about?

"Demonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy’ than a U. S. Marine."

"Actually it's quite fun to fight 'em, you know. It's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up front with you, I like brawling,"

In my travels through the net today I happened upon both and agree with both. The first I read in connection with a story about a brave Marine, Corporal Tim Tardif. The second was in connection to a lot of hand wringing about what Mattis said at a conference. In my opinion both quotes show the kind of leader we want in the US military. One that points out that we want to be friends to those that want to be our friends and to dispatch the evil among them with no remorse. Semper fi and ooh-rah.
